Have You Truly Seen the Light?
A Reflection on God’s Glory, His Goodness, and the Light Revealed in Christ
Have you ever paused long enough to ask yourself:
“Have I really seen the light of God…
or have I only heard about it?”
Not the light of head knowledge, but the light that opens your heart, shifts
your direction, and draws you closer to Jesus.
Many of us run our spiritual race in the dark,
in uncertainty, confusion, disappointment, or even
spiritual blindness, yet God lovingly invites us to step
into His light.
Today’s message takes us deep into that journey.
Understanding the Light of Christ
We often hear people say, “I haven’t seen the light.”
Scripture shows us why: the god of this world blinds the hearts of unbelievers—not with darkness alone, but with distractions, self-reliance, pride, and fear.
But God…
“For God… has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
(2 Corinthians 4:6)
God’s light is not just information — it is revelation.
It is God opening your eyes to see:
• Who Jesus is
• What He has done for you
• How deeply God loves you
• And what life looks like when walked in His presence
The Glory of God: Not Just Power… but Goodness
When Moses cried, “Show me Your glory,” God didn’t reveal fireworks, thunder, or terrifying brilliance.
He revealed His nature.
“The LORD, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in loving-kindness and truth.”
(Exodus 34:6)
God’s glory is not about distance or fear— It’s about His goodness.
It is His:
• Compassion
• Grace
• Patience
• Abounding love
• Faithfulness
In the Old Testament, people could only stand at a distance and look.
But in Christ, we are invited to come close.
The veil has been torn.
The barrier is gone.
The blood has cleansed us.
How Do We Step Into the Light? — Look, Believe, Be Transformed
Look
Gaze at Jesus — not your failures, not your weakness, not your past.
Believe
Trust that what He says is true.
Trust that what He has finished is complete.
Be Transformed
The Holy Spirit changes us from the inside out.
We don’t force transformation — we receive it.
“We are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory.”
(2 Corinthians 3:18)
God’s glory — His goodness — begins to radiate through you.
Where Moses’ glory faded, the glory of Christ in you only grows brighter.

We’re invited into transformation. God is not distant or silent.
